UGS Rehden – MARKETING OF CAPACITIES FOR STORAGE YEAR 2025/2026

[Kassel, 16^th July 2025] Starting on July 17, 2025, SEFE Storage GmbH will offer part of its previously unmarketed storage capacity for the Rehden storage facility for the 2025/2026 storage year in several auction procedures on the PRISMA capacity platform.

The respective auction date and the number of bundles offered will be communicated to all companies already registered on PRISMA and approved by SEFE Storage 24 hours in advance.

Due to current market conditions, the storage product has been adjusted. This results in an increase in the firm injection capacity in relation to the firm working gas volume. An injection curve no longer needs to be taken into account.

This adjusted product structure allows interested parties to continue to fill 100% of the contracted working gas volume with the firm injection capacity available until November 1.

Additional interruptible injection and withdrawal capacity based on FCFS (PRISMA) can be booked to further increase flexibility.

The storage product consists of the following bundle structure:

Product term: July 18, 2025 – April 1, 2026

• firm working gas volume: 111,690,770 kWh
• firm injection capacity: 72,850 kWh/h
• firm withdrawal capacity: 56,510 kWh/h

Product term: April 1, 2026 – June 1, 2026

• interruptible working gas volume: 11,169,077 kWh
• interruptible withdrawal capacity: 9,900 kWh/h

No variable fee is charged for the storage product.

As a result of the ordinance (GasSpFüllstV) issued by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE) on May 6, 2025, only a fill level requirement of 45% applies to the Rehden storage facility as of November 1, while the requirement for February 1 remains at 30%.

Companies that are not yet registered and interested in participating are asked to submit a request via PRISMA, taking into account the registration deadline. The information relevant for the storage product can be found on the homepage www.sefe-storage.de under the following link.
