Haidach storage facility is now connected to the Austrian distribution network (Level 1 distribution pipelines)

[Kassel, 26 September 2025] As a result of a legal obligation under the Austrian Gas Industry Act (Gaswirtschaftsgesetz), the Haidach storage facility has been connected directly to the Austrian distribution network (Level 1 distribution pipelines) by the technical operator. For the period starting 1 October 2025, storage customers have, for the first time, been able to purchase transport capacity via SEFE Storage to withdraw gas volumes from the Haidach storage facility into the Austrian distribution network – with a maximum flow rate of approximately 3.7 million kWh/h.

As part of future storage capacity marketing, storage customers will also have the option of purchasing these transport capacities from SEFE Storage at any time on a first-come, first-served basis.
