[Sulingen, 24 August 2026] Making sustainability visible and taking responsibility at the local level: guided by this principle, SEFE Storage is supporting the Sulingen chapter of the German Nature and Biodiversity Conservation Union (NABU) with a donation for habitat conservation in the Sulingen Moor. Following the donation, SEFE Storage employees rolled up their sleeves and joined NABU volunteers in a hands-on conservation work in the moorland area.

For many years, NABU has been committed to preserving valuable natural habitats in the region and runs a range of conservation projects in the Sulingen Moor. Regular maintenance measures are essential to protect this unique moorland landscape and preserve its biodiversity over the long term.

Together with NABU experts, participants removed young birch and pine trees along the edge of the moor. This helps to maintain the open nature of the landscape and protects important habitats for a wide variety of plant and animal species.

“As a company, we have a responsibility to the communities in which we operate. Through our donation, we want to support the important work NABU is doing. At the same time, it is important for us to take action ourselves. We are therefore delighted that our employees have been able to contribute directly on site and make a real contribution to nature conservation”, said Andreas Schulz, Managing Director of SEFE Storage.

Bernhard Köstermenke, Project Manager at NABU Sulingen and coordinator of the activity, also welcomed the support: “Protecting peatlands is a long-term task that can only succeed through the commitment of many partners. We are very pleased that SEFE Storage employees have not only supported us financially today, but also got involved themselves.”
